Communications

I'm sitting here right now waiting for my number to called at the DiGi Centre at Berjaya Times Square, entertaining myself with my iPhone while keeping in touch with my mum and a couple of friends on my BlackBerry.

It's amazing how times have changed. Modem telecommunications has completely changed the way we do things. As for me, playing with new gadgets is one if the things I enjoy most in life.

Do you remember having to make an appointment with a friend in the "olden days"? You'd have to set the exact time and location. Sometimes, after it is only after a missed appointment that you realise that you were both waiting at opposite entrances to the same building. This never happens today! If you're stuck in a jam and will be delayed? You just make a call or send an SMS so that the other party can go have a cup of coffee or browse some stores while waiting for you.

Today, thanks to my BlackBerry and iPhone, I'm never bored. Take this very minute for example, I'm actually making a blog entry while waiting for my number to be called.

How times have changed indeed!

Time to write again.

Time flies when you are busy changing major things in your life! Feng Shui predicted big changes and difficulties this year and it has proven to be all too true.

For starters, I moved back to the nation's capital, started a new job and began enjoying life in a way I had not in the past four years.

I have come to realise that the thing I enjoy most these days is making a difference in the life of others. Why? I'm not too sure. But actually contributing to another person's happiness gives me a sense of fulfilment.

These days, I would much more enjoy teaching someone to do something instead of just taking the easy way out and doing it myself. Its a sence of satisfaction seeing another person succeed.

Brunei Revisited

It seems like only yesterday that I was here in Brunei for the very first time. That was in 1985. How time flies! I was just a kid back then.

My next trip was here for work. I was with a card company and I stayed at the Brunei Hotel. I signed them up as a merchant and also signed an affinity programme.

Ever since that day, I had always stayed here whenever I was here in Brunei. I became good friends with the hotel general manager.

She told me that this would be the last time I stay here under her management as she would be retiring. How time flies. And I guess that this may also be the last time I stay here.

My first blogpost from iPhone.

Hey there! It's been a while. I've simply been so busy till I discovered this application that allows me to blog of my iPhone.

How do you like this photo? It was taken in Siem Reap, Cambodia at Christmas last year. I went there with Sucie and two other friends. I must say that we all had so much fun! The best thing for me were the US$3 massages! Simple great!
