Aucland
I recently had the pleasure of going on a fantastic vacation! I went to Auckland in New Zealand.
Auckland is quite a nice place. The people here are quite friendly, I mean if you compare them with the people in Russia. However, I must say that I found the people here less friendly then the people of Australia.
New Zealand is a beautiful country especially if you are into nature and breathtaking sights and sounds. This is also the home for some EXTREME sports. But, if you know anything about me at all, you would know that I am a city boy! I grew up very close to nature and I think I’ve had enough for one life time.
Auckland for me was refreshing and relaxing. It was also extremely boring. I spent a lot of time browsing the three big bookstores there. I spent almost three days at Borders! Yes, I know, I’m crazy!
But I did go to Rotorua. Rotorua is the most popular and, inevitably, the most commercialised tourist destination on the North Island. I visited some of the most energetic thermal activity in New Zealand, saw bubbling mud pools, gurgling hot springs, and gushing geysers. I also got to see some interesting traditional Maori ceremonies.
